Heidi Klum Challenges Her Fans Once Again with a Teasing Preview of Her Halloween Costume
The model shared a close-up of a strange prosthetic and challenged her followers to figure out what she’ll transform into for her traditional Halloween party.
Heidi Klum has already kicked off the countdown to one of the moments that generates the most anticipation every Halloween. The German model, who has been a staple of the celebration for more than two decades, shared the first major clue about her 2026 costume, though she once again kept the definitive answer under wraps.
“What’s my costume?” Klum wrote alongside a photo posted on Instagram on October 24. “One week to go…,” she added. The image shows a close-up of what appears to be an elaborate prosthetic made up of different textures and reliefs, some resembling human organs, coral, or even fungi.
A teaser that leaves more questions than answers
The image shows a structure full of shapes and textures that could be reminiscent of human organs, tissues, or even marine elements. Klum, however, did not give any concrete clues about the character or creature she will portray on the night of October 31.
The mystery has sparked all kinds of theories among her followers. Some point to characters from horror movies , while others believe the prosthetics’ appearance could be related to fantastical creatures or a nature-inspired transformation.
The only thing Klum has revealed so far is that this year’s look will be “very, very gory” and will have an aesthetic closely tied to horror.
The model also shared a video on her Stories showing her walking through a store full of fabrics—another small glimpse into the process of preparing a costume that, as is typical for her, requires a much more complex production than simply changing clothes.
Heidi Klum Opts for an Extreme Transformation Once Again
Klum has spent more than two decades turning her annual Halloween party into one of the most anticipated events of the season. Since 2000, she has used prosthetics, makeup, and elaborate designs to transform herself into completely unrecognizable characters and creatures.
In recent years, she has appeared as a giant worm, Fiona from Shrek, E.T., and, in 2025, as Medusa , complete with green scales, a long tail, and animated snakes instead of hair.
Klum herself has explained that she specifically seeks out ideas that people wouldn’t normally choose for a costume and considers her transformations a form of artistic expression.
Now, her followers will have to wait a few more days to find out if all the clues point to any of the theories already circulating on social media.
The answer will come on October 31, when Klum once again walks the red carpet at her Halloween party in New York. Until then, the mystery continues.
