Hugh Hefner, Playboy founder: “I have slept with thousands of women, and they all still like me.”
The Playboy founder spoke about his conquests without the slightest hint of modesty.

H ugh Hefner was never exactly shy about discussing his love life. The founder of Playboy made seduction a central part of his public image and, for decades, portrayed himself as a man who had spent his life surrounded by women, parties, and romances.
In a 2007 interview with Esquire , the businessman made a statement that perfectly summed up how he saw himself. “I have slept with thousands of women, and they all still like me.”
But that wasn't his only revealing admission during the conversation. Hefner also shared his personal formula for approaching women, and, much to many people's surprise, it had nothing to do with a clever pickup line or an elaborate game of seduction.
Hugh Hefner had a go-to line for winning women over
When asked about his strategy for picking up women, Hefner claimed all he had to do was introduce himself. His line was as simple as it was direct: “My name is Hugh Hefner.”
Yes, that was it. At least in his eyes, his name and the fame he had built over the years were enough to get a conversation started. He didn't need a prepared speech or the perfect words. His answer also reflected the enormous confidence he had in the persona he had created for himself .
During the same interview, the businessman discussed the importance of sex in life and admitted that, for him, one of the best parts of any relationship was the beginning.
Hefner died on September 27, 2017, at the age of 91 . Still, his comments offer a glimpse into the way he spoke about his private life and the fame that followed him for decades. If there's one thing that becomes clear from that interview, it's that he never had much trouble bragging about being Hugh Hefner.
