Sydney Sweeney and her major life shift: Why she is considering converting to Judaism because of Scooter Braun
Why Scooter Braun could be behind Sydney Sweeney's potential change of faith

Sydney Sweeney could be considering a major personal transformation as her relationship with music executive Scooter Braun reportedly moves towards a more serious commitment.
The Euphoria actress, 29, is said to be exploring the possibility of converting to Judaism, the faith in which Braun was raised.
According to reports, the couple have begun discussing marriage and starting a family, prompting Sweeney to consider embracing an important part of her boyfriend's religious and cultural background.
Sources cited by publications claim that Sweeney has already met with two rabbis to learn more about Judaism and what conversion would involve. However, neither Sweeney nor Braun has publicly confirmed the reports or announced any formal plans.
Speculation surrounding her interest intensified after the actress reportedly attended Rosh Hashanah services alongside Braun at Temple Sholom in Greenwich, Connecticut, on September 12. Her appearance was seen as a possible indication that she's taking an interest in understanding her partner's heritage and traditions.
Braun , 45, was raised in a Conservative Jewish household and is the grandson of Holocaust survivors Eva Wohlberg Braun and Joseph Braun.
He also shares three children, Jagger Joseph, Levi Magnus and Hart Violet , with his former wife, Yael Cohen . The pair married in 2014 and separated in 2021.
A relationship entering a new chapter
Sweeney and Braun were reportedly first drawn to each other during the wedding celebrations of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez in Venice, Italy, in June 2025. Following months of public appearances and speculation, they confirmed their relationship in April 2026.
Insiders have suggested that Braun is eager to marry the actress, with discussions about having children reportedly making their relationship even more serious. The couple are also said to be planning and designing a home together as they consider their future.
Converting to Judaism, however, involves considerably more than attending religious celebrations. The process typically requires guidance and sponsorship from a rabbi, religious education and a commitment to Jewish beliefs, customs and traditions. The length and requirements vary depending on the religious movement and individual circumstances.
Away from her reported romance, Sweeney is also generating excitement in the film industry. Former Bond girl Trina Parks recently suggested that the actress would be an excellent choice to play 007's next romantic interest.
Parks , who made history as the first Black Bond girl when she portrayed assassin Thumper opposite Sean Connery in Diamonds Are Forever in 1971, praised Sweeney's acting abilities, confidence and classic Hollywood appearance.
"Not only is she a talented actress, but has this Hollywood classic kind of style and poise, which really works for her projects and brand,” said Parks .
"I feel for modern cinema and film-making and the future of Bond, audiences want to see a woman opposite Bond who is independent and has ownership of her sexuality. Sydney has those qualities."
She believes modern audiences would appreciate a Bond love interest who possesses independence and confidence rather than simply serving as a romantic accessory to the famous spy.
