“Women no longer cry, women make money.” And Shakira is already one of those women. In fact, she is making more money than ever and posting record-breaking numbers in Latin music just as the week begins for her Madrid residency. A city she has returned to renewed and “stronger than ever,” as she acknowledged to the media upon her arrival in the Spanish capital last Tuesday, September 15.

The artist from Barranquilla has just been crowned the highest-grossing Latin singer with the most successful international tour in the industry after bringing in a total of 417 million dollars . 367.4 million was achieved with the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour with 86 concerts.

Earlier this year, in 2026, she had already achieved the same record. But then Bad Bunny appeared with his Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour and snatched the throne from her with 417.4 million across 55 shows and 3.1 million tickets sold. However, the Colombian star has taken just 3 months to become queen again and reach that 417 million mark, 2.5% more. Not yet counting the residency in Madrid, which has still to take place.

Shakira enters the top 5 of global tours after 30 years at the top

If we step outside Latin music, the singer from Barranquilla remains at the very top and ranks in the fifth position among international tours , according to the Top Tour 2025 published by Billboard . The singer ranked ahead of artists of the caliber of Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and Dua Lipa . But if we take total attendance into account, she rises to second place on the podium according to the list published by Top Tickets Sales .

Although in recent years the singer has been more in the spotlight because of her relationship with Gerard Piqué , the truth is that the Barranquilla native has spent more than 30 years in music, reaping major international successes. In 1995 she began touring around the world and since then she has already had seven tours. There are no figures for the first one, but with the second, Mongoose , she earned nearly 18 million euros . It is followed by Oral Fixation with 87.1 million, Sale el Sol with 61 million. A figure that rose with El Dorado Tour in 2018 to 66.5 million euros.

Figures and records that show that Shakira, despite the years and moments of crisis, remains one of the quintessential singers of Latin music. Her residency in Madrid is proof of this. Even before it begins, its economic impact is already estimated to reach as much as 150 million euros after 12 concerts and 650,000 spectators.
