Thousands of Alaskans are monitoring their Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) applications as another payment date approaches.

The 2026 payment is worth $1,200 per eligible resident, combining a $1,000 dividend with an additional $200 energy relief payment. However, not everyone will receive the money at the same time.

The next scheduled distribution is November 19, 2026. To qualify for this payment round, applications must display the status "Eligible-Not Paid" by November 11.

This means submitting an application alone is not enough. The Alaska Department of Revenue must first confirm that the applicant meets the requirements and approve the payment.

Residents who have already received their 2026 dividend will not receive another $1,200. The November distribution is intended for eligible applicants who are still waiting for their money.

How to check your Alaska Permanent Fund application status

The simplest way to establish whether you are included in the November payment is through the state's official myPFD portal.

Residents can visit myPFD and sign in to review their application. The status to look for is "Eligible-Not Paid", which indicates that the application has been approved but the money has not yet been distributed.

If this status appears by November 11, the applicant should be included in the November 19 payment.

Anyone whose application is still being reviewed should continue checking for updates. The November payment is not guaranteed if the required status has not been reached by the deadline.

It is also important to ensure that personal information, particularly mailing addresses, is correct. Residents who have moved should update their details through the portal to avoid problems receiving a payment by post.

Who qualifies for the $1,200 payment?

The dividend is not automatically available to everyone living in Alaska. Applicants must satisfy the state's residency and other eligibility requirements.

For the 2026 payment, residents generally must have lived in Alaska throughout 2025 and intend to remain there indefinitely. They must also meet rules concerning absences from the state and must not have claimed residency elsewhere during the relevant period.

Applicants who spent more than 180 days outside Alaska must have been away for an allowable reason. They must also have been physically present in the state for at least 72 consecutive hours during 2024 or 2025.

Certain criminal convictions and periods of incarceration can also affect eligibility.

Importantly, the application period for the 2026 dividend has already closed. The November distribution concerns applications that have already been submitted and subsequently approved.

What if you miss the November payment?

Residents who do not qualify for the November round have another opportunity before the end of the year.

The next scheduled distribution is December 17, 2026. To be included, applications must reach "Eligible-Not Paid" status by December 9.

For anyone still waiting, regularly checking myPFD is the most reliable way to follow progress and establish when the money should arrive.

The $1,200 payment represents an important annual benefit for eligible Alaskans, but the distribution schedule depends on application processing.

Residents should use the official myPFD portal to check their individual status and consult the Alaska Department of Revenue for further information.
