U.S. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump celebrated the traditional Halloween party at the White House, where they handed out candy to thousands of children in an atmosphere marked by costumes, pumpkins, and autumn decorations.

Fresh from a campaign event in South Carolina, the president joined Melania at one of the entrances to the South Lawn of the presidential residence to take part in the classic "trick-or-treating" . The event, open to officials, military personnel, and invited families, was expected to bring together around 6,000 people.

This is the second time, during Trump's second term, that the presidential couple has hosted this celebration ahead of Halloween night, one of the most popular and eagerly anticipated holidays on the American calendar.

Melania , dressed in a brown trench coat by Noor Hammour and Manolo Blahnik shoes, accompanied the president during the candy distribution. Both posed with children dressed up as all kinds of characters, from wizards and dinosaurs to police officers and historical figures such as George Washington or Abraham Lincoln.

One of the most striking moments of the day came when Trump signed what appeared to be a replica of the Declaration of Independence carried by one of the attendees . Also drawing attention was an enormous pumpkin provided by the Department of Agriculture, which became one of the day’s main attractions for photographs.

This is what the White House looked like

The White House featured decorations dominated by orange and reddish tones, with a large depiction of the so-called "Harvest Moon" as one of the most prominent elements. In addition, attendees were able to enjoy stands with coloring books, science kits, and various toys distributed throughout the residence's gardens.

In addition, the Air Force Strolling Strings band livened up the celebration with traditional Halloween tunes and some classics that even got the president dancing.

The finishing touch came from the sky. A spectacular flyover by Air Force One surprised the guests , who responded with applause as they watched the presidential aircraft pass at close range over the White House.
