D ak Prescott delivered a statement performance under the bright lights, throwing for 212 yards and three touchdowns as the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-21 on Monday Night Football, handing their NFC East rivals a fifth consecutive loss.

Prescott connected twice with CeeDee Lamb for touchdowns and guided Dallas to one of its most complete offensive performances of the season. The victory improved the Cowboys to 3-4, keeping them alive in the NFC East race behind the New York Giants , who lead the division with a 4-2-1 record.

Meanwhile, the Eagles continue to spiral. Philadelphia dropped its fifth straight game , its longest losing streak since 2016, falling to 2-5 in what has quickly become a disastrous season.

With Jalen Hurts expected to miss the remainder of the year due to blood clots in his lungs, the Eagles turned to Tanner McKee , but the young quarterback was unable to provide the spark the team desperately needed. McKee completed 23 of 35 passes for 211 yards , with one touchdown and one interception.

Dallas consistently finished long drives with points, while Philadelphia struggled to keep pace.

After trailing 21-20 late in the third quarter , Prescott found Lamb for his second touchdown of the night on a perfectly placed 16-yard pass in the corner of the end zone . Prescott then added a two-point conversion on the ground to give the Cowboys a 28-21 lead.

Brandon Aubrey contributed with field goals of 55, 27 and 24 yards , extending Dallas’ advantage to 31-21 before Javonte Williams sealed the victory with a two-yard touchdown run.

Williams was one of the biggest stars of the night, rushing for a career-high 155 yards and a touchdown . The Cowboys finished with 204 rushing yards, their first 150-yard rushing performance by a player since Ezekiel Elliott in 2018 .

McKee’s final mistake came late in the fourth quarter when linebacker DeMarvion Overshown intercepted a pass, ending Philadelphia’s hopes of a comeback.

Eagles show brief signs of life but collapse late

Philadelphia finally found offensive rhythm in the third quarter, putting together its first touchdown drive of the season that lasted nearly 10 minutes. McKee connected with rookie Makai Lemon for a four-yard touchdown to give the Eagles a brief 21-20 lead.

But the offense disappeared after that, and Philadelphia failed to score again as its season continued to slip away.

Cowboys strike early in offensive battle

The game started with fireworks from both sides. Dallas opened with a field goal, but Philadelphia responded with Saquon Barkley’s eight-yard touchdown run.

Barkley returned after missing more than two games with a hamstring injury and showed flashes of his old form, but the issue continued to bother him. He finished with 62 rushing yards on seven carries after spending time on the sideline receiving medical attention.

Prescott helped Dallas take control before halftime, throwing touchdown passes to Lamb (nine yards) and George Pickens (21 yards) to give the Cowboys a 20-14 advantage at the break.

Pickens’ touchdown was a highlight-reel play, escaping tight coverage and dragging his left foot in the back of the end zone to complete the spectacular grab.

A tough night during Jeffrey Lurie’s celebration

The loss came on a night when Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie was inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame .

Lurie purchased the franchise in 1994 and helped transform Philadelphia into one of the NFL’s most consistent organizations , including four Super Bowl appearances since 2004 and the two championships in franchise history.

But instead of celebrating on the field, Eagles fans watched their team suffer another painful defeat as the franchise faces one of its biggest challenges in years.
