The influence of Taylor Swift on the NFL has been discussed extensively since she began dating Travis Kelce in 2023, but the Kansas City Chiefs star believes one of its most meaningful effects has received far less attention.

Rather than focusing on television ratings or the growing popularity of Chiefs merchandise, Kelce has discovered that his relationship with Swift has helped families find a new reason to spend time together.

The 37-year-old shared the observation during Wednesday's episode of the New Heights podcast, explaining that strangers frequently approach him to describe how football has strengthened their relationships with their daughters.

What began as a high-profile romance has introduced a new generation of supporters to the sport, with Kelce admitting that he never anticipated such a personal response.

The conversation began when Jason Kelce , Travis' older brother and a former Philadelphia Eagles center, asked how much the Chiefs ' fanbase had grown since Swift entered the picture.

"Expressing their stories of them and their daughters having a moment of watching football together," Kelce said.

"And that has been undoubtedly the majority of people that come up to me that talk football just off the street."

The three-time Super Bowl champion explained that parents regularly thank him for helping create an unexpected connection with their children.

"I didn't have that one on the guard when I started dating Tay, let alone asked her to marry me, but it's been pretty cool to see the influx of Chiefs fans outside of all the Super Bowl appearances and all that," Travis added.
