Kate Zacharia's brief tenure as White House press secretary continues to generate headlines even after her departure . Just a few days after her abrupt dismissal, the former communications chief is once again at the center of controversy over a photograph posted on social media that has sparked all kinds of speculation.

Zacharia shared on Saturday an image alongside the President of the United States, Donald Trump, taken in the Oval Office . The snapshot had a tone of farewell and gratitude. "It has been an honor to work for him," she wrote alongside the post.

But the focus of numerous users was not on the protagonists of the photo, but on a detail that appeared on the presidential desk. In the image, a map could be seen whose appearance seemed to have been altered or blurred , something that did not take long to attract the attention of observers and political analysts.

The map that has raised alarms

Hours later, Zacharia posted another photograph on Instagram Stories, this time accompanied by her husband and her four children in the same setting. In that new image, the map was no longer visible .

From that moment on, speculation began. Some experts and activists claimed that the silhouette visible in the document matches the East Potomac Park area, one of the most emblematic spaces in Washington, D.C. and a place that has gained relevance due to the remodeling plans promoted by the Trump Administration.

The president announced last June his intention to renovate the golf course located in this park, which he described as a "deteriorated, worn-out, very dangerous, and obsolete" facility. However, the project is currently under judicial scrutiny following a lawsuit filed by the DC Preservation League.

Critics believe it reveals more than intended

The White House has insisted that there is still no final design for the renovation of the complex . Nevertheless, critics of the project believe that the map captured in the photograph could show that advanced plans are indeed already on the table.

Among the most critical voices is Alex Rosen, founder of the Save East Po platform, opposed to the proposed renovation. In statements to The Washington Post, he said that the noticeable details in the image match depictions that had already circulated previously of the park’s future design.

What was intended to be a simple farewell photo has thus turned into a new political controversy . An image, a blurry map, and a series of unanswered questions have once again put Zacharia in the media spotlight just days after leaving one of Washington's most high-profile positions.
