Arizona Cardinals vs Dallas Cowboys: Where to watch today's game and what time they play at AT&T Stadium

Cowboys and Cardinals look to take off in Arlington: two offenses hungry to win in Week 8

The AT&T Stadium in Arlington opens its doors this Sunday, November 1, 2026 for a showdown between two teams arriving at NFL Week 8 with the same urgency: to climb out of the middle-of-the-pack muddle and string together wins.

The Dallas Cowboys host the Arizona Cardinals in an interconference clash where momentum rules, and both locker rooms arrive with opposite feelings after last week's game.

The Week 8 outlook for Dallas and Arizona

The Cowboys are coming off a statement performance: a 38-21 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on the road in Week 7, their most lopsided win of the year.

That result places them second in the NFC East, behind the New York Giants, and gives them some breathing room in an uneven season. Dallas has scored 189 points, the most productive offense in its division.

Across from them, the Cardinals are going through a difficult stretch. Arizona fell 16-30 at home to the Denver Broncos last week and sits in last place in the NFC West. The most worrying number in the desert is on defense: 208 points allowed, the worst figure in the entire conference. That bleeding on defense will undoubtedly be the main storyline of the game.

Contrasting forms: one resurging and the other declining

The recent momentum clearly favors the home team. Dallas has won three of its last five matchups, including the already mentioned blow to the Eagles and a 34-30 road victory over the Houston Texans.

Their problem has been consistency: they also suffered setbacks such as the 31-34 loss at home to the Baltimore Ravens, a game that sums up the Cowboys' offensive-but-fragile season.

Arizona, meanwhile, has lost five of seven. Their only recent relief was a tight 18-16 win over the Los Angeles Rams on the road in Week 6, but before and after that the defense gave up true avalanches: 45 points against the Detroit Lions and 31 versus the Seattle Seahawks.

To have a chance in Arlington, the Cardinals will need to deliver a much more solid version of themselves than they’ve shown for most of the season.

The key matchup: Dallas' offense against Arizona's defense

If there is a clash of styles that could decide the game, it is the Cowboys' firepower against the fragile visiting defense.

Dallas relies on quarterback Dak Prescott, with a top-tier receiving corps led by CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens , along with tight end Jake Ferguson as a safety valve on short plays. In the running game, Javonte Williams gives the offense the balance it needs to control the tempo.

The Cardinals, who have split carries in the backfield with veterans like James Conner and Tyler Allgeier, rely on tight end Trey McBride and receiver Michael Wilson on offense.

The question mark is under center, with Jacoby Brissett leading an offense that has totaled just 142 points in seven games —the least productive of the two rivals this Sunday—. Arizona will need that attack to sustain possession to protect a defense that cannot afford to be exposed to three-and-outs.

Implications in the overall NFL standings

Although neither of the two is fighting for the top, the game matters. A win would leave Dallas at 4-4 and within striking distance of the Giants in the NFC East, keeping their playoff hopes alive.

For Arizona, a loss would mean falling to 2-6 and virtually saying goodbye to the postseason conversation in an NFC West where the 49ers are firmly in control.

In terms of the overall standings, the Cowboys are ranked 20th in the league and the Cardinals 27th; both need to win to avoid falling behind.

The bottom of the NFC is very crowded: the Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders, and Miami Dolphins are fighting not to be buried. For Arizona, every loss carries double the weight when its point differential (-66) is already the most negative in the conference.

Cowboys vs Cardinals Prediction

Dallas comes in with its offense firing and at home , while Arizona carries the worst defense in the conference and a worrying run of results. Everything points to a high-scoring game in which the Cowboys, backed by their passing attack and the heat of Arlington, should come out on top.

Prediction: Cowboys win by a couple of possessions, although McBride and Arizona's offense have enough to keep the score from getting completely out of hand.
