Chiefs' Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's marriage going south starts getting into his head
Kelce is hoping a worst-case scenario doesn’t arise, just as his marriage is starting out.
While Travis Kelce was already a household name in the NFL world and around the United States before meeting Taylor Swift , once he began dating the global music superstar his whole world has changed. Now, he’s known by more people than ever before, and he’s gotten to meet some unique people he might never have expected.
One of those was Prince William , who attended one of Swift’s concerts in the UK back in 2024. Swift and Kelce’s relationship was just starting out at that point, and William isn’t necessarily an avid NFL follower. During a recent appearance, William himself admitted that he actually wanted Kelce out of the way for a picture with Swift and his children .

While appearing on The Graham Norton Show , William mentioned that he didn’t realize the significance of the photo at the time ; it was the first publicly shared photo of Swift and Kelce together in a picture. Back then, William didn’t really put two and two together: “ I hadn't appreciated the significance, and actually, I was trying to move him out of the photo. But Travis kept coming back in, and I couldn't work out why he kept coming back in. I was trying to move him out so it was just me and Taylor and the children. ”
Kelce could have taken William’s comments negatively, but that wasn’t the case when he addressed it on his New Heights podcast. Kelce understood William’s thought process at that time, but then said something that piqued the interest of Swifties.
“ I was just a boyfriend at that point. You know? I wasn't her husband yet. You know? We don't really know if this is gonna last, so it's kinda just move out of the way real quick so we can keep this photo forever… Yeah. Hopefully, this doesn't go south. Otherwise, this photo is not gonna be as good. "
It’s not that Kelce has doubts about his marriage to Swift potentially going south, but at the very least it’s in the back of his mind; perhaps buried deep in his subconscious. After all, it’s normal given that their marriage is just beginning, and he wants it to last as long as possible.
