Travis Kelce once had major beef with Justin Tucker, who Chiefs just signed to their practice squad
Tucker was also suspended by the NFL in 2025 for alleged sexual misconduct.

After a tough 20-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks , the Kansas City Chiefs have a bit of urgency to make some changes. While one would expect those changes to come in the form of a pass-catcher for Patrick Mahomes , the team is actually more concerned about its kicking situation than anything else, it seems.
Longtime Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker missed two field goals in the Seahawks game, bringing his field goal percentage for the season down to 68.8% , which is tied for 29th in the entire league. He's also 25th in extra point percentage. He simply isn't as reliable as he has been for so long, which has prompted the Chiefs to make a bold move.
On Wednesday, the Chiefs signed former Baltimore Ravens All-Pro kicker Justin Tucker to their practice squad . Tucker is expected to compete with Butker for the starting job, although the incumbent starter will likely get another game or two to iron out his issues. Tucker's signing is controversial for a couple of reasons .
Travis Kelce and Justin Tucker once got into it before 2024 AFC Championship Game
Firstly, Tucker was suspended by the NFL for the first 10 games of last season following an investigation into alleged sexual misconduct stemming from "inappropriate behaviors during massage sessions" . Secondly, Tucker was previously involved in a heated on-field moment with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce not too long ago.
Before the AFC Championship Game during the 2023 season, Tucker left his warmup kicking gear in the area that's designated for Mahomes and the Chiefs quarterbacks to get ready before the game. With Tucker watching while smiling at his mind games, Kelce proceeded to throw Tucker's stuff out of the way in an annoyed fashion . Kelce later spoke about the situation on his New Heights podcast.
Kelce was clearly perturbed by Tucker's intentional decision to try to rile up Mahomes, Kelce, and the Chiefs. It did rile up Kansas City, but Tucker's plan didn't exactly work. The Chiefs ended up winning the game 17-10 and advanced to the Super Bowl . Now, Tucker and Kelce are teammates, with a chance to bury the hatchet.
