Travis Kelce reveals the surprising impact Taylor Swift has had on Chiefs fans, admitting he never expected the NFL star power that came with their relationship.
T ravis Kelce acknowledges the enormous impact Taylor Swift has had on Kansas City Chiefs fans and on the way many people have connected with football.
The Chiefs tight end explained that he has heard numerous stories from fans about how Swift’s presence has allowed them to share special moments watching NFL games with their families.
During the October 21 episode of New Heights , a follower asked: “How many Chiefs fans have come because of Taylor?”
“I will say this. I have a lot more people coming up to me expressing their stories of them and their daughters having a moment of watching football together,” Travis said to co-host Jason Kelce . “And that has been undoubtedly the majority of people that come up to me that talk football, just off the street.”
Kelce also admitted he never imagined the reach his relationship with the singer would have.
“I get a lot of thanks for that, which is just pretty cool. I didn’t have that one on the card when I started dating Tay, let alone asked her to marry me. But it’s been pretty cool to see the influx of Chiefs fans.”

Swift’s influence in Kansas City has gone far beyond social media and become a phenomenon that has boosted the franchise’s popularity.
Between September 2023 and January 2025, Forbes reported that the connection between Swift, the Chiefs, and the NFL generated nearly $1 billion in brand equivalent value.
The singer began her relationship with Kelce in 2023 , and three years later the couple celebrated their wedding at Madison Square Garden .
Kelce recently spoke about that moment during an appearance on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown, describing the wedding as “the best night of my life.”
“The best night of my life. Marrying Taylor was more than I could have ever dreamed it to be because of all the people that showed up, and the amount of, you know, love that was in the air.”
Taylor Swift continues to support Travis Kelce and the Chiefs
Although Swift has not yet shared every detail of their wedding publicly, she continues to show her support by attending games and watching from the stands.
The pop star has been present at three Chiefs games this season , including the most recent one against the Los Angeles Chargers on October 18.
Kansas City returns to action on Sunday, October 25 , when the team visits the Seattle Seahawks .
